We were appointed just before construction began on Neighbourgood Reserve, the conversion of a grand historic bank building on Adderley Street into residential co-living studios. We were brought in to review the contractor’s pricing and act as a watching brief on the client’s behalf.
Our role covered providing cost advice on variations as they arose during construction, and supporting the project through to close-out, giving the client independent oversight on a heritage conversion where getting the numbers right mattered as much as protecting the building’s character. The result is a set of smart, compact studio apartments carved out of one of Adderley Street’s most striking facades, with brass and monochrome finishes that make the most of every square metre.
